The Role of Property Technician

As a property technician, you will carry out ongoing operations, supervision, and maintenance of the hospital's property technical installations. You will work both independently and in a team with troubleshooting, service, and repairs. The work includes tasks in electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and other property technical areas. You will participate in rounds, inspections, and planned maintenance, while also contributing to the development of routines and creating effective property management.

The position is based at Värnamo Hospital but also includes tasks at properties owned by the Region of Jönköping County throughout the southern district. Work on the region's properties outside the southern district may occur by agreement. Since on-call duty is included in the position, you should live no more than 30 minutes from Värnamo Hospital, and on-call duty occurs as needed.

Your Future Workplace

Regional Properties aims to meet the Region's need for suitable premises with good standards and contribute to optimal resource utilization of premises while conducting effective property management in both the short and long term. The region owns the majority, approximately 608,000 square meters, of the properties in which operations are conducted but also rents external premises of about 70,000 square meters. We are responsible for cost-effective and professional ownership and construction for the region's operations. Our tenants include the county's hospitals, health centers, dental care, schools, etc. Property investments total approximately 300-500 million SEK per year. Regional Properties is ISO certified according to 14001.

The Property Technical Unit in Värnamo is responsible for the property operations of all properties in the southern district of Region Jönköping County – from hospitals and health centers to schools.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience as a craftsman or in a similar field. If you also have a technical education in areas such as electrical or plumbing, we see that as a positive. In this role, we value your good technical understanding with the ability to troubleshoot in several technical areas. The ability to solve practical problems is an important trait for us. We would like you to have broad experience in property maintenance, preferably from a similar role. Additionally, experience working in larger properties or in a hospital environment, as well as knowledge of control and regulation technology, ventilation, appliances, or lock and security systems, is seen as a positive.

You are accustomed to working with a computer as a work tool and documenting your work. A driver's license (B) is required as travel is part of the job.

You are solution-oriented with good social skills, and you take initiative and help where needed. The best interests of the customer and the operation are at the center, while you also contribute to the workgroup and good collaboration. You take responsibility for your tasks, are flexible, and have a good ability to create structure in your work. We place great importance on personal suitability.
